Looking for a new home,
I found my way here
Life’s different now
I make my own decisions
and sometimes
I pay the consequences
but they’re my decisions
and it’s my life
I’m responsible for me.
But as the seasons change
so does my life.
Forced to go back
to where I came from
I’m under their jurisdiction now
their rules
their hours
their decisions;
and as much as I’ll enjoy
having little responsibility
no tests
and no papers
I’ll be awaiting the chance
to come back again
